Lastly, as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Virginia medical school, Dr. Eapen actively participates in medical education and feels that it is an important service and obligation for the betterment of the profession of medicine. She is very grateful to all of our patients who have over the years assisted us in this effort. It is only through our patients’ willingness and enthusiasm to participate in the mentoring and education of medical and other students that we have been identified as a “Center for Excellence” in teaching and led to Dr. Eapen receiving multiple teaching rewards over the years.
