Dr. Bradford Perkins was born and raised in San Jose, CA. He majored in Chemistry at Wake Forest University, and then graduated in 2004 from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Glendale Adventist Medical Center and has been Board Certified since 2007. He relocated to his hometown in that year, when he joined San Jose Medical Group in Los Gatos as a family physician and worked there for almost 6 years. He then joined Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Los Gatos in 2013 and again worked as a family physician, seeing all age groups. In 2023, he decided to go into private practice and join SignatureMD.
Dr. Bradford Perkins is a board eligible obesity medicine physician who also has a medically supervised weight loss meal replacement program. This program is designed for people who are committed to personal lifestyle changes for better health and weight loss. It is based in Los Gatos and is a minimum of a 20 week program to promote long-term weight loss and management. The first 20 weeks consist of monthly meetings with Dr. Perkins, weekly group Zoom meetings with a dietitian, as well as weekly individual emails with the dietitian. The program uses Health One meal replacements, and most participants will use 4 meal replacements, 3 servings of vegetables, and 2 servings of fruit per day. The meal replacements can be used in shakes, or they can be cooked with.
Dr. Perkins has also launched a Wellness Suite at his office that features some of the latest technology – Emsella and the Emsculpt Neo. Emsella was released in 2017, and uses high intensity electromagnetic energy (HIFEM+) to produce supramaximal contractions of the pelvic floor muscles to help:
- weak pelvic floor muscles
- urinary leakage
- urinary urgency
- urinary frequency
The Emsculpt Neo was released in 2021 and combines the same HIFEM+ energy to help build muscle in the abdomen, upper arms, thighs, and buttocks, as well radio frequency heating to burn fat. The benefits of the Emsculpt Neo include:
- improved core strength
- may help improve low back pain
- improved strength in arms or legs
- body sculpting of the legs, abdomen, buttocks, and thighs
