Born and raised in Oakland, California, Brian Joseph Candell, M.D., is an internal medicine physician with Orinda Medical Group, where he has practiced since 1991. He earned his B.S. in Physiology and Cell Biology from UC Santa Barbara and his M.D. from Saint Louis University, then completed his Internal Medicine residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. A long-standing staff member at the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, where he has chaired the Medical Education Committee for roughly 20 years. He has been married for over 30 years and is the proud father of two amazing adult children.
