Carlos E. Picone, MD. FACP, FCCP is committed to each and every one of his members.
Dr. Picone received his medical degree from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina in 1989, graduating summa cum laude. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia, and Fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at the National Institutes of Health and in Pulmonary Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Picone has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, where he has also served as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Picone holds Board Certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. He has been a Medical Volunteer in several Latin American countries and currently volunteers with Mobile Medical Clinics of Greater Washington, D.C. Dr. Picone also served as a Board Member of Operation Canasta, supporting schools and orphanages in Argentina. Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Picone has an interest in literature, chess, squash and astronomy.
