Darcy J. Hansen, MD graduated from Williams College with highest honors, summa cumme laude, as a Phi Beta Kappa scholar. She received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and was elected to AOA, an honorary medical society. Dr. Hansen completed her three year residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and completed a year of chief residency in internal medicine at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Hansen then joined Yater Medical Group, a multi-specialty practice located in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, D.C. In 1993, Dr. Hansen established a solo practice in Washington, D.C. She has taught courses at Georgetown University Medical School and George Washington University Medical School, and actively consults for the Peace Corps. Dr. Hansen is board certified in internal medicine and maintains admitting privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
She has been married for over 20 years to David Thomas, Ph.D., and has two daughters, Megan and Kate.
