Kara Foster-Weiss, MD received her medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine, Basseterre, St. Kitts. She completed her family practice residency at Chesterfield Family Practice and Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. Dr. Foster-Weiss is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Prior to medical school and residency, Dr. Foster-Weiss spent most of her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner working in partnership with Dr. Reinhardt. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing. Soon after, she became manager, practice administrator, and nurse practitioner at Village Medical Associates, providing medical care and managing the practice. Dr. Foster-Weiss continued forwarding her career by attending medical school and has been a physician at Midlothian Medical Care since completing her residency.
Dr. Foster-Weiss was the former Regional President of the Richmond Region of Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, and former Treasurer of the Statewide of Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of AAFP and VAFP. Dr. Foster-Weiss received the Outstanding Intern Award and was Summa Cum Laude, BS. She received the Darrell Gilliam award for outstanding resident in her third year of residency in 2014.
