Known for his compassion and detailed patient care, Dr. Luke Ouyang, a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician, has been practicing medicine in Texas for almost 20 years. During training, he was awarded the James Walker Award for Excellence in Teaching and Patient Care by the University of Connecticut Internal Medicine Program. Since starting his practice in the North Dallas area, he has garnered a collection of accolades, including being recognized as one of the Best Doctors of Collin County in D Magazine, a Top Doctor by Frisco Style Magazine, and the Best Doctor in Frisco by Frisco Enterprise News. His dedication to his patients has been underscored by the Top Decile Award for Provider Communication presented by the Texas Health Physicians Group for consistently ranking in the top 5% of doctors nationwide for patient satisfaction. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Ouyang also teaches the UT Southwestern Physician Assistant students as a Clinical Faculty.
Dr. Ouyang received his bachelor degree from University of California at Berkeley and his Medical Doctor degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He attended the University of Connecticut for his residency training and was honored to be chosen as the Chief Resident for their Primary Care Internal Medicine Program. Before moving to Texas, Dr. Ouyang served as an Attending Physician at St. Francis Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. In addition, he was a Visiting Professor at St. George’s University School of Medicine.
At home, Dr. Ouyang shares his life with his talented wife, a concert pianist who is the founder and director of the Music Institute of North Texas, and their two children, alongside their beloved two-pound Yorkie named Peanut. In his spare time, Dr. Ouyang can be found cheering passionately for his son at water polo tournaments or applauding his children’s piano and cello performances. He is fluent in English, Chinese, and conversational Spanish.
