Melissa Selby, ARNP
Preventive Medicine
Melissa worked in the ICU for several years before returning to get her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Mercer University. Her desire was to empower her patients through preventative medicine. Her wellness perspective aligned perfectly with that of Vine Medical, where she has been caring for patients for 7 years.
The transition to concierge medicine has allowed for additional time to research cutting edge therapies such as peptides, IVs, nutritional therapies, ozone and more. These may be valuable tools in managing complex conditions such as Lyme/Mold/CIRS, autoimmunity, infertility, and obesity/insulin resistance. Melissa is A4M board certified in Anti-Aging Medicine and has completed hours of additional education in endocrinology, gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, compounding, and autoimmunity.
Melissa strives to offer root-cause, personalized medicine for each patient. Hormones, nutritional status, exercise habits, sleep, stress management, toxin exposure, gastrointestinal health, family history, and emotional and spiritual health are explored to gain an in-depth understanding of each patient’s situation. Treatment plans are discussed, taking cost and patient preferences into consideration before implementation.
