Skye Stewart
Naturopathic Medicine
Dr. Skye Stewart is a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in functional medicine and is the founder of Whole Health Integrative Medicine (WHIM). She was awarded her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, internationally recognized as the leading institution of science-based education in integrative medicine. Prior to medical school, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland. She graduated with honors from UMD as a Kendall Scholar and was also honored with the Student Leadership and Service Award.
Dr. Stewart is uniquely skilled and experienced at finding the root physiological, biochemical causes underlying many diseases. Often, patients receive a diagnosis without explanation of the underlying causes and contributing factors of their presenting complaint. Through comprehensive historical analysis (IFM Timeline tool), strategic biomarker testing, and a perspective that looks at whole-person health rather than just symptoms, Dr. Stewart focuses on identifying the root cause or pattern of disease. This allows for a more effective, result-focused treatment strategy.
Dr. Stewart resides in Annapolis, MD with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. Her hobbies include singing, playing guitar and piano, yoga, paddle boarding, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She currently serves as Secretary on the board for the Maryland Naturopathic Doctors Association. She is also the Maryland Delegate in the House of Delegates for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
