Dr. Robert Blakeburn, MD, is a board-certified family physician who first received his certification in 1990. He is excited to bring his extensive experience and
expertise to Santa Fe and Nexus Health. A 1987 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Dr. Blakeburn completed his family medicine residency with the U.S. Air Force at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. He served at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma, where he attained the rank of Major. During this time, he and his wife, Kristin, were blessed with triplet boys, followed by a daughter exactly two years later. Dr. Blakeburn practiced family medicine in Enid, Oklahoma, for eight years, where he was a founding member and president of Enid Clinic, serving both hospitals and a busy clinic. In 2001, he and his family relocated to Clinton, Oklahoma, where he became the Emergency Department Director at Integris Clinton Regional. He later founded The Blakeburn Clinic, returning to his roots in family medicine. For over 15 years, Dr. Blakeburn has practiced concierge
medicine, partnering with SignatureMD in 2010 to establish their first concierge practice in Oklahoma. Throughout his career in Clinton, Dr. Blakeburn made significant contributions to the community, serving as an ER physician, hospitalist, Medical Director of the Jim Thorpe Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit, Hospital Chief of Staff, and Director of the Clinton Free Medical Clinic. He was also one of six physicians in Oklahoma chosen as Physician Champions of Quality by the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality. Dr. Blakeburn is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Blakeburn is dedicated to building strong relationships with his patients and helping them achieve better health. He emphasizes the importance of early disease detection, but his true focus is on preventing illness altogether. Dr.Blakeburn believes that concierge medicine offers the best care for his patients.By providing more quality time with the physician, prompt treatment for acute issues, easy access to testing and specialists, and a strong focus on prevention, he ensures a comprehensive and personalized approach to healthcare. Dr.
Blakeburn and his wife, Kristin, have been visiting Santa Fe for over thirty years, and it has become their happy place. Excited to call it home, they are eager to
engage with the community and make it an integral part of their lives.
