Concierge Internal Medicine
Dr. Byers attended UCLA and graduated with honors in molecular biology and then went on to Wayne State University medical school receiving his medical degree in 1977. He completed his residency, and chief residency, in internal medicine at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, served on the board of the Santa Barbara Medical Society, was Chief of Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital as well as Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. He has been in private practice ever since and believes strongly in the words of Dr. William Osler, Father of Modern Medicine, who states “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
