Sagar Verma, MD

Dr. Sagar Verma is board certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine. He has over 12 years of experience with hospital medicine, 5 years in obesity medicine and outpatient care. He graduated in 2009 from Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow Long Island, New York. He has been working as a hospitalist since 2009. However, his passion for health and wellness and prevention of disease rather than continuing treating disease with medications motivated him to start his own obesity medicine clinic in 2015 in Warrenton, VA.

For the last 5 years, he has managed patients with obesity and related co-morbid conditions, and helped many patients improve their quality of life by optimizing their lifestyle, leading to a reduction in weight, improvement in well-being, and elimination of multiple medications. During the last 5 years, numerous patients have been requesting him to start primary care because of the style of management and focus on prevention of disease rather than prescribing pills. Dr. Verma has realized that the future of medicine is integrative medicine. To further enhance his knowledge and career, he is currently pursuing a fellowship in integrative medicine with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine and will be board certified in 2022.

Besides medicine, he loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
