Dr. Tiffany Davies attended UCLA Medical School where she was elected to AOA and completed her training as Chief Resident at the Santa Monica/UCLA Hospital Residency in Family Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine. After graduation, she started a private practice in Glendale, California, and was a clinical faculty member at the Glendale Adventist Family Medicine Residency for three years. She relocated to Los Gatos in 2004 and was recruited to join one of the premiere, long-standing practices in Los Gatos. Over time, as partners have retired, they have added other like-minded women to their practice, always with wellness and prevention at the heart of what they do.
Dr. Tiffany Davies is an FAA-Designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner with over 15 years of experience, specializing in medical exams for pilots needing a Class 1, 2 or 3 medical certificate.
Many pilots are concerned about losing their flying privileges, but Dr. Davies can assure you that this is extremely rare. She tries to work with each pilot to issue the certificate on the spot or with clear instructions on how to obtain the necessary documentation needed, if deferred.
The FAA exams are done on a cash pay basis. The fee schedule is as follows:
Class II & III: $175; $50 additional if on a Special Issuance
Class I: $200 or $265 if EKG needed
To schedule an FAA physical exam with Dr. Davies, please call the office at 408.378.1101.
Prior to the visit with Dr. Davies you must submit your application online: http://medexpress.faa.gov. The application can be done up to two months ahead of time, but will expire after two months.
If you have seen Dr. Davies for a previous FAA exam and have had significant changes in your health since your last exam, email Dr. Davies at tdavies@losgatosdoctors.com.
Focus of Practice
For those who are healthy and active, I can help with preventative medicine, nutrition and weight control, annual physicals, pre-participation sports physicals, and birth control. I am open to working with people who are exploring alternative health care options. My own athletic background helps me understand the needs of sports-minded individuals and helps them prevent injury. For those who have chronic illness, my training in family medicine includes a full range of medical problems including diabetes, depression, hypertension, asthma, allergy control and autoimmune diseases. For complicated cases, I will work with the specialist to coordinate your medical care.
Philosophy
I strive to provide intelligent and attentive care by working with the patient, their family, and other specialists as a team. I take a personalized approach to each patient, considering all aspects of their personal and professional life. My goal is to help each patient achieve a healthier life by targeting their risk factors and providing preventive care, including advice on diet, exercise and stress reduction.
