Dr. Yenjean Hwang is board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM, since 1998) and Infectious Diseases (ABIM, since 1999), and has been a member of the practice since
2000. She is Medical Director of Infection Control, Section Chief of Infectious Diseases at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center (ABSMC), and a member of the teaching faculty for the internal medicine residency program at ABSMC. In addition to her clinical work, she is committed to global health and volunteers extensively in support of medical missions to rural Zambia.
She grew up locally in the East Bay, and after completing her medical training, she
and her husband returned home to raise their four sons, now ages 18 to 28. Her deep roots in this community, combined with her passion for both local and international service, continue to shape and inspire her work.
