Internal Medicine
Dr. Karp is board certified in internal medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and graduated from Georgetown University. She attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago.
After working in private practice in Illinois for two years, she moved back to the east coast to be closer to family and has been practicing in Maryland for 18 years. Dr. Karp has been named a Washingtonian magazine Top Doctor yearly since 2014. She is also top-rated by both doctors and patients in Washington Consumers’ Checkbook.
With a focus on preventive medicine, she enjoys the long-term relationships she develops with her patients.
