Internal Medicine
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma graduating with honors, and his medical degree from Albany School of Medicine, graduating with honors. While in medical school, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Matthews completed his residency in Internal Medicine at USAF David Grant Medical Center. Dr. Matthews is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Matthews has held a long interest in medicine dating back to high school when he became a paramedic and then continued this work while in college. After college he then entered the Air Force and engaged in search and rescue helicopter missions for three years prior to going to medical school.
Dr. Matthews is strongly dedicated to the provision of proactive, compassionate care.
Dr. Matthews is married, and enjoys gardening, golfing and traveling.
