Internal Medicine
Dr. Esther Costel was born and raised in Louisville, graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, and went to medical school at Duke University. She completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University. After a brief stint volunteering at the Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti, Dr. Costel returned to Louisville to practice internal medicine.
Always learning, she has voluntarily recertified in internal medicine every 10 years. She volunteers at the Family Community Clinic at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. On multiple occasions, Dr. Costel has been named a Louisville Top Doc in internal medicine.
