Dr. Roji Menon, founder of Menon Medical Center, practices Internal Medicine in North Bethesda, Maryland. She received her medical training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, Massachusetts.
A seasoned internist, she shares her years of experience in offering a holistic treatment plan that focuses on healing, in addition to curing. She understands that healing entails far more than curing and she works with a team of doctors that help her patients not only to survive their illness, but to thrive with a profound sense of well being.
Dr. Menon’s medical philosophy is holistic; she attends to the whole person and not only to a particular symptom the patient presents. In the words of William Osler, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” Her patients have long recognized her capacity to bring a greater sense of well-being to their lives through her integrated medical approach that combines a variety of treatment modalities. Known for her exceptional service, honesty, integrity and unbiased opinions, she believes everyone deserves the best that healthcare has to offer.
Dr. Menon has enjoyed a cosmopolitan upbringing, having lived in places as diverse as the United Arab Emirates, India, and the United States of America. Her experiences of varied cultural environments has helped her appreciate the different ways in which different communities understand health, illness and medicine.
Her practice mission is to promote wellness and prevent disease through aggressive patient education and management of risk factors using the latest research and cutting edge technology that is both accessible and affordable.
Her vision is to empower patients to take control of their own health, giving them the resources and support they need to succeed. In her free time Dr.Menon enjoys exercising her body and mind, taking long meditative walks in nature, exploring her backyard farm for fresh treats and delights, immersing in the flavors of freshly cooked home meals.
