Internal Medicine
Dr. Brian Wilhite is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and a 1990 graduate of the University of Alabama – Birmingham School of Medicine. With a strong desire to see his patients live long quality-filled lives, he has treated countless patients for more than 30 years in his Tuscaloosa primary care practice. His medical expertise includes the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, and hyperlipidemia.
During his career, Dr. Wilhite has been a member of the American Medical Association, The Tuscaloosa Medical Society, and is a previous Chair of the DCH Department of Medicine. While in medical school, he was a member of the AOA Medical School Honor Society and received the Osler Award in clinical diagnosis as an intern.
Dr. Wilhite believes that practicing medicine is still an art, focused on knowing when to intervene and how to communicate appropriately, understanding patients and motivating them positively.
