Cathy A. Grellet, MD received her Medical degree from the Albany Medical College of the Union University, Albany, New York and completed her Residency at Danbury Hospital, a then Yale Affiliate in Connecticut. Prior to medical school, Dr. Grellet attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and received a BS degree in Biology.
Dr. Grellet has been in practice in Los Gatos for over 20 years. Prior to coming to Los Gatos, she was an internist at a multi-specialty group in San Mateo devoted to women’s health. Residing in Connecticut during the early part of her medical career, she was Assistant Director of Outpatient Services at the Danbury Hospital and medical advisor for DATARH, providing healthcare for special needs adults in Fairfield County, CT. Dr. Grellet also served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Yale University.
Along with being a knowledgeable and compassionate physician in the Bay Area, Dr. Grellet has shared her time and knowledge as a medical volunteer in Kenya, South America, the South Pacific and Antarctica since 1993. Her patients call her Cathy and in Kenya, she is known as ‘Mama Daktari’.
Medicine is her passion. She currently has hospital affiliations at El Camino Los Gatos Hospital and Columbia Samaritan Hospital, San Jose. Dr. Grellet is a member of the Santa Clara County Medical Society, and the California Medical Society.
