Fred S. Markham, MD received his medical degree from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine, Tucson, AZ in 1980. He interned at the VA Hospital, Long Beach, CA, and the University of California Irvine Medical Center in 1981. He completed his residency in internal medicine at LAC/USC Medical Center in 1981.
Dr. Markham is president of Fred S. Markham, MD, PC, which he founded in July 2005. Dr. Markham has been practicing medicine in Prescott since 1985. He has spent his entire medical career serving the Prescott community.
He worked as an emergency room physician at Yavapai Regional Medical Center from 1985 to 2014. Dr. Markham has been Medical Director of Prescott House Residential Treatment Center since 1988, Nurses Network Home Health Agency since 2003, and Good Samaritan Hospice since 2014. He also served as vice president of the Yavapai Regional Medical Center medical staff, Chairman Department of Medicine, Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee.
Dr. Markham was certified as a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1984. He has served as a present or past member of the Pre-Hospital Care Committee, E.R. Committee, Credentials Committee and Psychiatry Committee.
