Dr. Michael Emmer began his education at Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then attended New York University School of Medicine in New York City for his medical doctorate. After his medical studies, Dr. Emmer completed his internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Emmer then completed a competitive fellowship in endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the premier honors society for medical professionals.
Dr. Emmer is board-certified in endocrinology and internal medicine. He has been in practice for more than 40 years and dedicates himself to one-on-one patient care with a focus on finding the best medical treatment options for every individual. Dr. Emmer has been in private practice in Bethesda since 1970. By limiting his panel to 300 members, Dr. Emmer will be able to partner with you to optimize your well-being.
